"Extend to each person,

no matter how trivial the contact,

all the care and kindness and understanding and love that you can muster,

and do it with no thought of any reward.

Your life will never be the same again."

- Og Mandino

Giving love is the law that applies to everything in your life. And giving love is the law of relationships. The force of love doesn't care whether you know someone or not, whether a ... [Read more]

Today, Mark Miller and I had some difficulty putting our coats on in the aftermath. It's a good pain, though, because not only will we give Schwartzennegar a run for his money in a few days, but we also earned a nice amount of donations to help AAFLC find and rescue more abducted kids.

So I want to extend my thanks to everyone on behalf of all those involved in putting together this fun event. We had a great turnout, and though we're still collecting donations and determining the final resu ... [Read more]

Hey everyone! It's been a really busy couple of months, and now we're finally getting down to the wire. Pennies for Push-ups is happening this weekend! I hope you've been practicing! ;) The thing is, we still need some more volunteers to count push-ups. So this is my urgent message to anyone interested in helping without all that physical activity. Pull up a lawn chair with an umbrella, sip a daiquiri, and most importantly, watch other people exercise! Except the lawn chair ... [Read more]

I not only work directly with the charity, but I'm also the caretaker of their website on my own time. My brother and I have been working on launching our own small business for web design. If you look at the footer of every page, you'll notice some text reading "Website designed by: DeWitt Web Designs." Well that's us! As a way to support the cause, we're donating our time to bettering this website.

So the update I'd like to bring you now is ... [Read more]

Don't forget, we're trying hard to bring in the funds so we can close another case. AAFLC is extremely grateful to those who have already donated. So far, we've reached only 1% of our goal.

Please help us go to Mexico and return this abducted child to her c ... [Read more]

With the months rushing by, March is rapidly approaching and we are still pushing for more volunteers at our "Pennies for Push-ups" event. Remember, it is FREE to join, spectate or sit in the corner and pout because you're out of shape!

If you want to help us out, you can either pick a competitor to sponsor, (I still have some empty spots on my pledge form, just throwing that out there,) or you can simply spread the word. Get all your athletic friends fired up and tell them they can't win, ... [Read more]

Six-year-old Anjalayiah Hicks, or Lay-Lay for short, was kidnapped from her father in 2011 and taken out of the country. I have watched enough heart-wrenching success videos to be convinced that AAFLC is fully capable of handling the task, but they are lacking the funds to do so.

Recently, I have been gathering a slew of crowd-funding websites to help AAFLC embark on its next case as soon as possible. Here are two of the best ones I have encountered so far:

Hey all, my name is Jon DeWitt and I've been volunteering for AAFLC for about a year now. Most of my work has involved face-painting at various festivals and fairs to raise money for the cause. Now that it's 2013, we already have our eyes peeled for early registration at all these different events -- and when they turn the corner, I'll be busier than a street-sweeper at Times Square after New Years!

I love to give up my time for the sake of rescuing kidnapped children, but I have a few person ... [Read more]
