Privacy Policy

American Association For Lost Children will not collect personally identifiable information about you, unless such information is provided voluntarily. In the event you decide not to provide us with personally identifiable information that may be requested through the http://www.aaflc.org site, no material consequences will result there from. However, you may be unable to receive certain information. Information that is provided voluntarily will be kept confidential for the use of American Association For Lost Children and its services only.

Users should also be aware that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected through the standard operation of http://www.aaflc.org's internet service or through the use of "cookies." Cookies are small text files a web site can use to recognize repeated usage, facilitate the users on getting access to and use of the site and allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data that will allow content improvement. All financial transactions on our web site, specifically online donations and online purchases, are managed through our agent, PAY PAL, INC., which is TRUST-e certified. All transactions use an encrypted channel, take place on secure servers and occur in real time. No financial data, such as your credit card number, is transferred via a less-secure channel, such as encrypted e-mail, for processing. Moreover, once your transaction has been completed, your credit card number is not retained.
